Kris van Malderen will step down as Director of GD Group and COO of Royal GD as of 1 July. The Supervisory Board is currently considering the most appropriate replacement for the vacant position.
After more than seven years at the helm of GD with Ynte Schukken, Kris van Malderen is leaving the company.
Kris: “I look back on some wonderful years, in which we have made serious progress together with livestock farmers, veterinarians, sector parties, the government and other partners in further improving animal health, both in the Netherlands and abroad. I’m proud of that. But I’ve also noticed that I’ve been away from home a lot over the past seven years. So it would be good to adjust my work-life balance in the last few years of my career.”
The manager from Belgium joined GD in 2017 from consultancy firm Oranjewoud, which is part of Antea Group. During his time at GD, Van Malderen has experienced quite a few challenges. Chairman of the Supervisory Board Ankie Wijnen-Pronk: “We would like to thank Kris for the past few years. He has been committed to a smooth internal organisation and has had his sights set abroad. He has overseen several laboratory construction projects, the establishment of GD Group and its ongoing transformation into a data-driven organisation. And, through a number of sales and acquisition processes, he has also been involved in our first steps towards internationalisation. We wish him all the best for the future. We are currently considering how to fill the vacancy to ensure that GD Group remains a future-proof organisation.”
